One of our favorite shops on the West Coast, Lark have teamed together with one of our favorite shoe companies from Germany – Zeha-Berlin, on an interesting Olympic concept sneaker. Since Zeha-Berlin’s comeback in ’03, they’ve been making some waves in some circles for its German sport heritage and mix of fine Italian leathers. They also just happened to make some of our favorite boots last year, the Ankle Lace Up Boot. But as for the main event, the sneakers above were named after Carl Haessner, the founder of Zeha, and inspired by the Zeha sneakers worn by the Olympic athletes of Germany and the Soviet Union in the 1960s. Handmade in Italy, from the finest Italian leathers, in vegetable tanned gold and black, the Carl Haessner IIX continues to carry the torch for tradition, craftsmanship and style.
