It’s sort of strange, but for regular jeans wearers we rarely get into posting about them. Part of the reason being we’re quite fond of our 2-year-old, unwashed, raw denim A.P.C.’s [much to germaphobic Joe's chagrin]. Japanese denim however, remains some of the most prized and sought after thanks in part to the majority of them favoring traditional production techniques that have long been abandoned elsewhere. 45rpm jeans are woven on antique looms resulting in a denser denim with a unique waffle texture. The denim you see above was created especially for the 10th anniversary of the Badou-R flagship store in Tokyo. Only 17 pieces were made and each piece is individually numbered on the back leather patch. Each pair is hand distressed by Spotted Horse Craft and every pocket bag is unique with 45rpm recycled textiles and Japanese lacquered rivets. Available here, but it’ll cost you.
