While it is no secret that the classic Varsity Jacket has gone full fashion cycle by resurfacing for this early holiday (paralleled by the resurrection of cargo pants), consumers like myself are still looking for a well-tailored and slim fitted varsity as opposed to the wide arm opening ones we’ve been used to seeing at college football games. Military bottoms are a whole other quandary, so I’ll save that rant for next time. Now, for those who are still stuck in the middle, bewildered by their love for military attire yet still looking to jump on the varsity sail before it sets, Nike Sportswear have come up with an answer called the V65 by combining aesthetic features from the Varsity with technical assortments from the M65. The jacket is composed of an M65-esque melton body featuring four frontal pockets and a zippered collar which extends to white leather varsity sleeves. This hybrid coat is now available here for $560.
