California-based outerwear company 686 recently teamed up with New Balance to produce a limited edition snowboarding and sneaker collection. This is a first for both brands and using the 580 model as a reference, the team did a great job dropping 2 really interesting and vibrant colorways. The East Coast launch was hosted by the good people at Concepts in Boston last night. The boots were on display with the rest of collection that includes sneakers and apparel that match both colorways. We sent our Beantown representative Alex Leblanc down to check it out.

  i bought the white ones out here in CA…but i hadn’t seen those red ones (in the case) until shayboarder posted pics of those from the 686 warehouse two days ago. are they for sale, or are those just prototypes?
