Way back in August after enjoying a French Parade, we mused about how dope it would be to get the same type of production in a communist country of one of their magnificent displays of machismo. While it’s not Kim Jong-il, the People’s Republic of China does put on a great display of power and might. In celebration of the 60th anniversary of Communist Rule, the Reds put on a monster parade through Tienanmen Square. Captured on a Canon 5d MkII and a Nikon D700 by Dan Chung, this slow-motion/time lapse video is not only beautiful, but mesmerizing. The combination of tilt-shift techniques, paired with time-lapse and contrasted with slow moving images lets you experience this event in a much more deeper way than by being there. But enough of all that, just watch.
