Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke released a new 12″ single “FeelingPulledApartByHorses” this week via XL Recordings. The single continues in the general vein of Yorke’s album The Eraser, with graceful melodies and chord changes laid over skittering, Aphex Twin style beats. Yorke and Radiohead have a long history of commissioning some of the world’s best and brightest filmmakers and media artists to create their videos. This time around, Yorke called on London-based, American filmmaker Raymond Salvatore Harmon to create a video for the record’s flip side “The Hollow Earth”. Harmon used images from Banksy’s street art to create rapidly flickering, subliminal imagery over an evolving street scene. The overall effect is both haunting and transcendental.
