While we’re more partial to the Lonely Planet Series as we find them more accessible than the Wallpaper City Guides and the Louis Vuitton City Guides, it’s always fun to see the vantage points of select cities as seen by the upper crust. Now entering its 11th year of publication, the Louis Vuitton City Guides for 2010 will continue their theme of providing informed commentaries on fashion, design, gastronomy, hotels, trends, (and even advice) on some of your favorite cities of which, there will be 40 in total. Among the usual suspects, Basel, Deauville, Knokke-le-Zoute, Mykonos, Malaga and Tel Aviv are all new additions that will be included in the 2010 series. Certain elements however, will remain unchanged such as the design of the boxed set, an homage to the heritage of Louis Vuitton and drawing inspiration from a vintage luggage label of the kind bellboys would affix to travellers’ trunks.
