It’s another tote but hear us out. When we’re headed to the beach or the boat, we don’t like bringing our leather/suede bags, nor do we like sand in our canvas sacks that we normally reserve for daily use. Bringing us to the convenience of a tote, and one that’s marine-inspired at that. J. Crew partnered with Mister Freedom, “the master of old-school cool” (their words not ours), to recreate these authentic mariner’s totes in cotton canvas, inspired by vintage kit bags used by the British Royal Navy in the 1940s. Each canvas tote is hand painted with indigo paint and hand stenciled with the original Mister Freedom logo. Every single bag is finished individually, no two will be exactly alike—and you’ll find them exclusively at J.Crew. Due to the craftsmanship involved, each bag is a numbered limited edition (only 54 were made). Get on it.
