Following in the footsteps of Trek, Globe Bicycles is a new lifestyles bike brand created by Specialized Bicycle Components featuring a range of vintage-inspired bicycles including a fixie, cargo bikes and cruisers. They’ve definitely  got it right by making the bikes extensions of the lifestyles and personal tastes of its audience instead of treating the bikes as just another piece of sporting equipment. Specialized uses urban cyclists, commuters, city dwellers and the eco-conscious to help inspire the design of each bike. So far the models that caught my eye are the Fjord Blue Roll with its clean, slick competitive style and the Live 3 with its classic functional urban look that screams Sunday bike ride with your sweets and the practical front basket that seems perfect for art supplies or groceries.
