We love Common Projects for their minimalist take on the high-end sneaker. And with their lineup for Fall/Winter 2009, they continue to give us reasons to save our pennies. What’s not to love about the above black high-tops, so simple yet so sophisticated. One can never have too many black high-top leather shoes, they come in handy for business or pleasure. Also included in the collection are an all-leather, high-top complete with side-zipper and button-strap. The whole “zipper-on-sneakers” trend that has developed as of late escapes us, but if you’ll consider wearing these as boots, we’ll let it slide for now. Something else you don’t typically see from Common Projects is the use of materials outside of its standard Italian leather until now; going with nylon of all things for a high and low profile sneaker. We’ve seen a few nylon high-tops introduced to great fanfare, and we don’t see these being any different. The collection is available now at colette.
