As part of the adidas Originals Five-Two 3 Brands Pack, including collaborations with Stone Island, Maharishi, XLarge and Nom de Guerre, Porter has teamed up with Originals to release a Nizza Hi and tote bag. Featuring the Nizza Hi model, it’ll be done up in flight satin, otherwise known as nylon, with a black and orange lining. Now back in January and April, the UNDFTD collab that looked strikingly similar to this. On the one hand you have Converse and UNDFTD who released their product a good 6-7 months before Adidas, with black canvas uppers, bright orange lining and a tote bag (note: the tote came with the Olive Green Weapon’s). On the other hand, Porter’s Tanker series has been around forever (1983, actually) and the black/orange colorway reflects this shoe perfectly. Perhaps both collabs are valid, but we’d like to put them in a cage and see who comes out on top. For us, the Converse sneaker wins the battle for our feet, the Porter Tote wins our shoulder.
