Following up on yesterday’s post about man jewelery, outside of watches of course, I foolishly left out my affinity for Surface to Air accessories (although I could write an entire post on the clothing line also). I remember checking out the Surface to Air website several years ago and not being able to figure out what they were about. Today, it could be just as confusing to the onlooker. They are part agency (they’ve done commercials for Louis Vuitton), part store, part artists collective, part collaborative designers (did a collection with Justice) and part film makers (music video credits include Justice and Chromeo), essentially, a melting pot of creativity. Self-described as a “multi-disciplinary collective”, it all began with a group of friends who wanted to work on projects they liked. Sounds familiar. Years later, they continue to grow in their different specialties while staying true to the Surface To Air vision. One of these ‘disciplines’ is the accessories line created by NYU alum, Daniel Jackson. Year after year, Surface to Air accessories has been killing it with quality materials, intricate patterns, and careful splashes of color, so it only seems appropriate they would get their own brand new website which may or may not feature The Hoff. Check out the pieces after the jump.
