Here’s a preview of the Devon GTX supercar that’s scheduled to be revealed at the 2009 Pebble Beach Coucours d’Elegance in August. This will be the first car produced by industrial design house Devon Motor Works from California whose design philosophy centers around simplicity, functionality and beauty. The GTX was conceived by renowned Ford car designer Daniel Paulin and DMW founder Scott Devon whose been quoted saying that the Devon GTX is about blending aesthetics, dynamic power, and tactility in a form that is unmistakably bold. Constructed with aircraft-quality carbon fiber that helps enable its strength, aerodynamics and sophisticated shape. “Up and forward” articulating doors, distinctive body two-tone wheel surrounds, minimal front/rear overhangs, and dual center rear exit chrome exhaust ports. Inside, carbon fiber-structure racing seats, dual-grained leather surfacing throughout, and tasteful chrome appointments communicate its “less is more” design philosophy. Pricing and engine specs will be revealed at the official release in August.
