I love Triumph bikes and I’ll be candid in saying that I prefer the Boneville over all other speed bikes. That said, this is still a Triumph – The new Daytona 675 SE super bike with race-inspired blue pinstripes and blue decals. Triumph boasts that the 675 has been proven on the race track and winner of multiple magazine tests there, its razor sharp handling, radial brakes and fully adjustable sophisticated suspension. Triumph also lets you customize the bike with huge amount of accessories to change the look and performance of the bike like carbon fibre parts, plug and play quickshifter, race style rear set and lightweight silencers in collab with Arrow Special Parts. Now the interesting part is that there are only 150 of these stunning special edition bikes available. Hit more for some pics and info on the major components of the bike.

Just like the Audi Shark, only more realistic, the Audi D7 is a super sports concept car with an electric engine and futuristic, integrated headlights and taillights that form Audi’s typical head lamps and grilles. It was created for the “From Dream to Reality” collective car design exhibition in Iran. More pictures after the jump.

JEFF STAPLE x STPL x AIRWALK SNEAKERS

Staple x Airwalk Sneakers

I came across these sneakers from Jeff Staple late last night, and I love the philosophy and idea behind them more than I like the sneakers themselves. Upon first glance, there’s nothing really special about the straight up brown sneaker aside from the red laces, which are a nice touch. What I love about them, is that Jeff Staple is bringing his upscale design and talent to the masses by making them affordable. Staple explains:

“The whole idea behind this collaboration is to bring our design sensibilities to a different audience and the distribution that Payless covers (over 4000 stores globally). In addition, there’s one simple parameter: No shoe retails for more than $50 bucks. (And in this day and age, I figure we could all use the help.)”

I had some time to peep some other blogs today and a few were scoffing at the fact that these were a collaboration with Airwalk and will be available exclusively at Payless, two “less than glamorous” brands. Personally, I think that’s unfair.

We often hold talent like Staple in a category of their own and scrutinize their design decisions instead of rewarding their inspiration. I’m not sure about Staple’s background, but I know when Stephon Marbury came out with his line of sneakers, he refused to make them high priced. Coming from a poor neighborhood, he believed that everybody deserved the right to own a pro athlete sponsored basketball shoe. Whether you’ll buy them or not. Whether you think Staple has ruined his street-cred or not. Whether you think you’re, for whatever reason, above buying anything from Payless or not. All of us should be thankful that people of Staple’s calibre are looking out for us.

In Staple. We trust.

GTA Spano Supercar

gta_spano_01

GTA Spano is  Spain’s answer to Italy’s Lamborghini and Ferrari. What the Spanish have given us is a supercar with a 8.3-liter V10 that delivers 780 horsepower, 0 to 60 in 2.9 seconds thanks to its light frame made out of Carbon, Kevlar and Titanium. You have a choice in transmissions with a seven-speed paddle-shifter, automatic or gated manual transmission, 19″ wheels coated in ultra-low-profile rubber grip the road at all fours, and the engine is even designed to burn straight alcohol if so desired. Only 99 will be made but its expected that GTA will make a competition version also. Check out the images after the jump.
