You wouldn’t believe how upset we are that we missed the release event for this in LA yesterday, especially since I was a big fan of the original, which I’ve had in all of atleast 4 colorways. The original Nike Air Trainer was worn by world-class athletes Bo Jackson and John McEnroe, which ignited the athletic training shoe craze 20 years ago!
This updated model includes something called DiamondFLX, a patent-pending outsole system that provides flexibility and support through multi-directional movement – ideal for any training regimen. It also seems to be using flywire and a freesole with a max-air unit in the heel. You’ve seen this shoe before when it was featured in the UNDFTD x Manny Pacquiao collaboration, but this new colorway is fresh.
Available in the U.S. beginning July 1, 2009 at $90 USD. Check the pics and video (w/ Bo Jackson) after the jump. Buy them, because Bo knows!
