Viktor & Rolf have collaborated with Samsonite Black Label to design a new series of suitcases, bags and other traveling accessories. We have to hand it to an older brand like Samsonite really branching out in terms of killer collabs like this one with Swarovski.  Inspired by the ‘50s and ‘60s, when air travel was all the rage, they’ve managed to give it a nice modern twist. Available in a retro vintage airplane print (see it after the jump) or a classic black. Both Boarding Bags are available here.

Really liking the mix of materials and attention to detail on these sneakers from Martin Margiela. A replica in the style of an Austrian 70′s running shoe, they’re made from lambskin and split calf leather, with contrasting nylon, grey leather and grey suede panels with a suede brand patch on the tongue. Sung-Pil Hwang designed the “Plug & Play” night table for the Nothing Design Group, a uniquely designed table fixed to walls  with an integrated lighting system in its branches that also provide extra outlets on the table itself.

This is the FAO Schwartz Muppet Whatnot workshop in New York City, which I had no clue about until I read about it over on the Colette blog. It’s been awhile since I’ve stopped into FAO, sure we’re all adults (mostly, and those that are technically usually really aren’t either), but how cool would having a few of these be? The Muppets were incredible and being able to design your own is even better.
