Fixie season is almost back for us on the East Coast and nari/furi has dropped a great looking messenger bag dubbed the Tarpaulin. It’s all waterproof (even the straps and the zipper), and the material changes color depending on the angle you’re looking at it from! It’s a straight up futuristic game with these drops from Reebok dubbed the EX-O-FIT HI S.G. These high tops combine metallic leather with perforated detailing for a contemporary twist on Reebok’s classic multi-function gym shoe (think Gold’s Gym in the early 80′s). Porter and Atmos together again, and it feels so good. This time, in the form of a wool checkered material for a shoulder/messenger bag. Comes in both red and black, with a purple interior. Hurry, they’re going fast here.
I’m feeling conflicted with these new Reebok and Alife kicks. I’m digging the collab and the nice mix of patterns on the leather upper and sole, but something about them, reminds me of a baseball cleat (see the gray after the jump). Moving on, the Reebok and Alife collaboration is continuing from the ERS 5000 and sees the Classic silhouette get brushed up by the NYC collective. The luxury leather uppers are embossed in Alife text and feature the signature speckled mid-sole along with an embroidered ‘alife’ text logo on the heal. “Batter up!” – Nelly (you remember him, right?).
