In what can only be described as what Auto-Tune would look like in a visual representation, Kanye West’s “Welcome to Heartbreak” video was released officially on his blog (I WILL REFRAIN FROM WRITING THIS POST IN CAPS). While the video is definitely hot, one can’t help but see the similarities to Chairlift’s Evidence Utensil video. It’s not the first time Mr. West has borrowed concepts and techniques from another video; remember Good Life, channeling Justice’s D.A.N.C.E.? We’ll give it up to Kanye bringing something new to the hip-hop video game, I just wish it was something new to the music video game.
