Looks like Dior is bringing the shiny factor from Moncler into leather! The Dior Homme leather bomber jacket is a metallic-finished lambskin leather with allover seaming detail and deep zip pockets that start at the chest. This is some straight up futuristic stuff right here! Available here.

Well, it was bound to happen, the next iteration of the MINI in a CUV form. The MINI CUV will be unveiled in March and is already approved to be produced in 2011. Apparently, the reception of the CUV at the Paris Motor Show is what convinced BMW to go ahead. It’s slated to have an optional four-wheel drive and keep its kart-like handling even with the added ground clearance. I for one will need a little more convincing… MINI. CUV. Come on. But were not going to pass judgment until we test drive one. Tell us what you think.

Could this be the next big thing in snowboarding not from Burton? The Whip, deemed the Lamborghini of snowboards by its creators, Cheetah, took four years to create and according to them it fits better, feels lighter, rides faster, edges harder and cooks you breakfast in the morning (maybe not). Its most obvious unique characteristics are its Open V Hull system that reduces the amount of surface which comes in to contact with the snow creating less drag and the Spider Back Suspension that absorbs chatter and gives it a smoother ride.
The Whip FR-117 will be the first and only model that Cheetah will build for the 08-09 season. Due to its new and complex construction, it will be built in very limited numbers. Visit the official site for more info and place your order.

The Brunch collection is the brainchild of product and interactive designer Ivo Vos. The collection represents a series of consumer products that celebrate the mundane. Above you have the Toast Launcher that can be aligned in a precise angle so that the toast lands on your plate. Other items include a tool for precise bread slicing, a teapot which records your poring height (not exactly sure what it adds to the experience) and the Milk & Sugar, which allows you to measure the precise amount of each needed for the perfect cup of joe.

If their Spring/Summer ‘09 collection is a sign of things to come, all of 2009 is going to be big for Common Projects. Taking a break from their usual color palette, they’ve infused this collection with some bright colors like turquoise, red and silver. . Up top we have the Tournament Mid Velcro, a black low cut perforated leather sneakers with velcro strap, contrast white trim, laces and textured rubber sole with the signature numeric code printed in gold. Is it just me, or does that top strap look oddly familiar to another favorite of ours (ahem)? Peep the entire collection here.

We’re not expecting everybody to watch this, but if you’re like us, you’re a sucker for stop motion. From director, Geoffroy De Crecy for Rex The Dog – Bubblicious.

With all the time KAWS and Pharrell spend together creating jewelry pieces and custom art for his Miami home, it seemed inevitable that KAWS would eventually cross the path of The Neptunes-produced, The Clipse. Not to mention the fact that most artists, find more than one way to express their creativity. On his KAWS’ blog he explains, “I met up with Pusha T tonight to hear some tracks from the upcoming album Till The Casket Drops. We have been talking about working together for a while and it’s finally coming together. The only disappointing thing I heard was that I couldn’t take the CD with me.” This could be the start of something really good, whether it be for the music, or just the artwork for The Clipse’ album cover. Stay tuned.

Every good writer needs a good pen. Call me old-school, but I like the cramps I get in my hand after writing a long soliloquy or limerick. The sound of the ink transferring to paper… ahhh yes… music to my ears. Nothing out there is as luxurious as Graf von Faver-Castell pens. My fav so far is the Pen of the Year 2008. The outer layer of the barrel is made from 84 Indian Satinwood triangles, individually hand-made for the filigree herringbone pattern. The numbered edition is crowned by a chessboard-facted citrine gemstone, platinized fittings, an 18-carat bicolour gold nib, and comes in an exclusive wooden case. So what if it doesn’t write upside down.
If you can find one, buy it. Otherwise, check out their site and drool all over your blank pages.
